Grants: Developing Strategic Goals & the Timeline and Addressing Sustainability in the Narrative (practicum)
Presenter: Laura Webb. Laura Webb is Resource Engagement Coordinator at Walden Behavioral Health. Trained as an adult and community educator and writer, Laura has worked to strengthen communities and not-for-profit organizations for 18 years in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Maryland. Laura has written successful grants to numerous private foundations, SAMHSA, HRSA, OVW, GOCCP, and the Office of Juvenile Justice. Laura is also an experienced presenter and certified instructor of Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, CCAR Recovery Coach Academy and Risking Connection.
Description: This course is a hands-on practicum in creating goals and objectives that successfully drive your grant program, and calendaring all of the deliverables in your grant for effective completion of the grants and your program's requirements. You will also learn why you need to address sustainability as part of your grant evaluation narrative and look at language to create that narrative compellingly. Computer lab - bring a thumb drive so that you can take notes and create and record your documents. January 16, Grant Writing - an overview, is recommended as a preliminary to this course. Other grant writing practicums March 13 and April 3 and 10 round out your grant writing expertise.
